# Troubleshooting

## Check the installed version

```bash
npm ls @qentrah/admin
```

Compare the installed version with the version noted in this guide. Inspect your lockfile before changing dependencies; prerelease behavior may differ between versions.

## Import or module errors

Use only public import paths listed in [API and exports](/docs/npm-admin/reference). Avoid importing guessed paths inside `dist`. ESM-only packages require an ESM-aware application. Install declared peer dependencies in the consuming application.

## “Admin is not built”

The copy command requires `dist/index.html` in the installed package. Reinstall the documented version and inspect the archive. Do not attempt a build in a package missing its development workspace.

## Refresh returns a 404

Configure your static host to serve the admin entry for client routes while allowing API requests to reach the CMS. Keep generated assets isolated because the copy CLI removes its destination before copying.
