# Install and configure grapesjs

Follow the source instructions for **grapesjs**. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

## Get the source

```sh
git clone https://github.com/Up-to-code/grapesjs.git
cd grapesjs
```

## Install dependencies

The manifest declares `pnpm@9.10.0`. Use that package manager.

```sh
pnpm install
```

Required runtime ranges in the manifest: `node >=20`, `pnpm >=9`.

## Check the installation

After setup, continue with the [first example](/docs/up-to-code-grapesjs/quick-start-guide). If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
