# Install and configure partners

Follow the source instructions for **partners**. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

## Get the source

```sh
git clone https://github.com/Up-to-code/partners.git
cd partners
```

## Install dependencies

Use the repository lockfile when choosing a package manager. The command below follows the captured root manifest and lockfiles.

```sh
npm install
```

## Production Environment Checklist

- `CONVEX_URL` or `NEXT_PUBLIC_CONVEX_URL`
- `CONVEX_SITE_URL` or `NEXT_PUBLIC_CONVEX_SITE_URL`
- `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET`
- `PARTNER_SIGNUP_BRIDGE_SECRET`
- `ANAN_PLATFORM_SERVICE_TOKEN`

## Check the installation

After setup, continue with the [first example](/docs/up-to-code-partners/quick-start-guide). If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
