# Run a first School-app example

Start with the smallest workflow described by the README for **School-app**. Complete [installation and configuration](/docs/up-to-code-school-app/installation-guide) first.

## Getting Started

First, run the development server:

```bash
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev
```

Open [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000) with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying `app/page.js`. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

This project uses [`next/font`](https://nextjs.org/docs/basic-features/font-optimization) to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.

## Verify your changes

The root manifest provides this check:

```sh
npm run build
```

Read any errors before continuing. Build and type checks verify source consistency; exercise the README example to verify the behavior you need.

## Next task

[Read the usage guide](/docs/up-to-code-school-app/usage-guide) for the documented components, configuration, and source layout.
