# Run a first tiktok-analytics example

Start with the smallest workflow described by the README for **tiktok-analytics**. Complete [installation and configuration](/docs/up-to-code-tiktok-analytics/installation-guide) first.

## Getting Started

### Prerequisites

- Node.js 16.x or later
- npm or yarn
- RapidAPI Key (for TikTok API access)

### Installation

1. Clone the repository:
```bash
git clone https://github.com/Up-to-code/tiktok-analytics.git
cd tiktok-analytics
```

2. Install dependencies:
```bash
npm install
# or
yarn install
```

3. Create a `.env` file in the root directory and add your RapidAPI key:
```env
RAPIDAPI_KEY=your_api_key_here
```

4. Start the development server:
```bash
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
```

5. Open [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000) in your browser

## Verify your changes

The root manifest provides this check:

```sh
npm run build
```

Read any errors before continuing. Build and type checks verify source consistency; exercise the README example to verify the behavior you need.

## Next task

[Read the usage guide](/docs/up-to-code-tiktok-analytics/usage-guide) for the documented components, configuration, and source layout.
