PROJECT HUB / NEXT.JS

Run & maintain the hub

This standalone project reads its catalog from editable JSON. It does not need a database or a GitHub token to serve the site.

1. Install and run

Install Node.js 20.9 or newer. Unzip the project, open a terminal in its directory, and run:

Terminal
Shell
npm ci
npm run dev

Open localhost:3000. If the port is occupied, use npm run dev -- --port 3001.

2. Refresh GitHub projects

Terminal
Shell
npm run sync
npm run build

The sync command reads public repositories from qentrah, Up-to-code, and uptocodejs. It matches existing entries by repository ID, preserving curated screenshots, guides, and stable project URLs when ownership changes. Set a server-side GITHUB_TOKEN only if you need higher API limits.

3. Add content

Edit content/projects.json for project images, demos, release links, and installation commands. Edit content/articles.json for the blog. Add images under public/projects. Only add download links to installable release files.

4. Build for production

Terminal
Shell
npm run typecheck
npm run build
npm run start

Set SITE_URL to your final domain before building so canonical URLs and the sitemap match your deployment.

Expected result

A responsive Qentrah hub with searchable projects, individual project and documentation pages, screenshots, live demo links, and a studio blog. GitHub ownership transfers are a separate administrative operation; the sync command never transfers or publishes repositories.

If sync reports a rate limit, wait for the API reset or use an authorized GitHub token. The existing catalog stays available until a complete sync succeeds.
