Install and configure DUI

Follow the source instructions for DUI. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

Install

Initialize shadcn in an existing React project:

1npx @qentrah/dui init

Add a DUI component using the npm shortcut:

1npx @qentrah/dui add button

You can also use the shadcn CLI directly:

1npx shadcn@latest add qentrah/DUI/button

You can install multiple items:

1npx @qentrah/dui add button input card

Preview an installation without writing files:

1npx @qentrah/dui add button --dry-run

Pin a release or commit for reproducible installations:

1npx shadcn@latest add qentrah/DUI/button#v0.1.0

Check the installation

After setup, continue with the first example. If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
