Install and configure Hozn-RealEstate-Fullstack

Follow the source instructions for Hozn-RealEstate-Fullstack. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

Installation & Setup

1️⃣ Install Node.js and npm

Ensure you have Node.js and npm installed. If not, install it from: 👉 Download Node.js

Check installation:

1node -v
2npm -v

2️⃣ Install PostgreSQL Database

Download and install PostgreSQL: 👉 Download PostgreSQL

After installation, create a new database:

1psql -U postgres
2CREATE DATABASE real-estate-backend;

3️⃣ Clone the Repository

1git clone https://github.com/Up-to-code/Hozn-RealEstate-Fullstack.git
2cd Hozn-RealEstate-Fullstack

2️⃣ Install dependencies:

1# Install frontend dependencies
2cd Hozn-RealEstate
3npm install

5# Install backend dependencies
6cd ../real-estate-backend
7npm install

3️⃣ Setup environment variables:

Frontend (.env.local):

1NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL=http://localhost:5000/api

Backend (.env):

1PORT=5000
2DATABASE_URL=postgres://user:password@localhost:5432/realestate
3JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret

4️⃣ Run the project:

1# Start backend server
2cd real-estate-backend
3npm run dev

6cd ../hozn-frontend

Check the installation

After setup, continue with the first example. If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
