Install and configure sdk-typescript

Follow the source instructions for sdk-typescript. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

Quick Start

Installation

Ensure you have Node.js 20+ installed, then:

1npm install @strands-agents/sdk

Basic Usage

1import { Agent } from '@strands-agents/sdk'

3// Create agent (uses default Amazon Bedrock provider)

Note: For the default Amazon Bedrock model provider, you'll need AWS credentials configured and model access enabled for Claude 4.5 Sonnet in your region.

Check the installation

After setup, continue with the first example. If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
