Install and configure Taghmesa

Install and configure Taghmesa: Taghmesa storefront

View as Markdown

Follow the source instructions for Taghmesa. Read the prerequisites and configuration steps before running an example.

Local setup

  1. Copy .env.example to .env.local and configure DATABASE_URL, BETTER_AUTH_SECRET, BETTER_AUTH_URL, and BLOB_READ_WRITE_TOKEN.
  2. Install dependencies with npm install.
  3. Create the schema with npm run db:migrate.
  4. Set INITIAL_ADMIN_EMAIL, INITIAL_ADMIN_NAME, and INITIAL_ADMIN_PASSWORD, then run npm run db:seed.
  5. Start with npm run dev and open http://localhost:3000.

The public storefront uses the bundled catalog and local /public/products images when DATABASE_URL is absent. Authentication, checkout, account, and admin requests require PostgreSQL and report a configuration error until it is configured.

Check the installation

After setup, continue with the first example. If a command fails, compare the runtime version, working directory, and required configuration with the original README before changing dependencies.
